Ubuif

Yes, another Node JS framework; born out of my keen interest in Node and my adoration of JavaScript.

I also love the Zend Framework, is there anything it can’t do? This is a resource worryingly missing from Node. This made me sad for a while and as I started to build the first prototype of my Ubuntu server management GUI (ubui) it became evident that procedural node won’t cut it and however good Express is its not the type of framework I needed.

This led to heavy thought, coffee and eventually beer. Eventually I thought,

What the hell?

I built an MVC in PHP a few years ago that was massively popular and I can do it again in Node while its still young, while I’M still young!

All of the development happens between the hours of 8am and 9am and 6pm and 7pm on my IPAD :) I love my iPad and the brilliant Zagg Mate keyboard case I bought. See it here

Right, ready to rock and roll, I’ve used the Zend framework for a while now and I love it so ubuif is structured in a similar way (or as closely as possible) and so far this seems to work quite nicely and has proven to be an enjoyable write.

Its making progress and you can sign up for updates at the ubui website or on github

But for those who can’t wait here is a little more about it!
